Originally from Canada, I am a 6 ft versatile basketball player, with guard skills in the forward. I can dribble the ball up the court and shoot at all three positions - 3-point line, mid-range and paint. Moreover, I can not only fight through contact, but also finish at the rim. Finally, I box out offensively and defensively, either getting the quick-hitter outlet or the easy bucket. Because of this versatility, I can easily integrate and adapt to any team. I am an uplifting teammate, vocal on and off the bench, and receptive to criticism. Being Canadian-French-Brazilian, I have always been immersed in three diverse cultures. This gives me the confidence and ability to adapt to the United States away from my family. I am currently attending Kimball Union Academy (KUA), a prep school in New Hampshire, where I have learned to become independent, manage my time efficiently, and cultivate new skills along the way. For instance, serving as a student leader at KUA during my 9th and 10th grade years has allowed me to better understand and serve the school community. My personal background and these experiences encourage me to strive for excellence in academics and athletics. I have developed several core strengths in basketball such as teamwork, resilience and discipline. In addition, thanks to my high school varsity team at KUA in NEPSAC, and my AAU club, New England Storm, I have been gaining more experience while competing at higher levels. To conclude, I am eager to contribute to your team’s success with an appetite to take on new challenges. I also look forward to joining a program that nurtures intellectual curiosity and fosters learning and growth. |
